The Global Journal of Dental Specialty (GJDS) is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and accountable editorial process. The journal welcomes complaints from authors, reviewers, readers, and other stakeholders regarding editorial decisions, peer review, publication ethics, journal management, or publication procedures. All complaints are handled confidentially, impartially, and in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
Complaints may relate to:
Editorial decisions and publication procedures.
Peer-review process and reviewer conduct.
Publication ethics or research misconduct.
Delays in editorial or publication processes.
Alleged conflicts of interest.
Any other concerns regarding journal operations.
Authors who believe that a manuscript has been rejected unfairly may submit a formal appeal to the Editorial Office. Appeals must include a detailed explanation of the reasons for reconsideration together with any supporting evidence. Appeals are reviewed independently by the Editor-in-Chief or an Editorial Board member who was not involved in the original decision, and additional expert review may be obtained where necessary.
Authors submitting an appeal should:
Clearly explain the grounds for the appeal.
Address the reviewers' and editors' comments.
Provide relevant supporting evidence or documentation.
Submit the appeal within a reasonable period after the editorial decision.
The Editorial Office investigates all complaints and appeals in a fair, objective, and timely manner while maintaining the confidentiality of all parties involved. Where procedural errors or ethical concerns are identified, appropriate corrective actions will be taken in accordance with COPE and ICMJE guidance. The decision reached after completion of the review or appeal process shall be considered final.
