Abstract

Logistics aggregators—digital platforms that consolidate shipping services across carriers, warehouses, freight forwarders, and customs networks—have transformed international trade by reducing transaction friction, optimizing routing, and providing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with access to global logistics infrastructure. These platforms integrate air, sea, ground, and cross-border e-commerce logistics while enabling digital documentation, real-time visibility, multimodal rate comparison, and automated compliance. This paper synthesizes research from supply chain digitization, trade economics, platform theory, and last-mile innovation to propose the Global Aggregated Logistics Framework (GALF). The model identifies key dimensions shaping aggregator impact: Carrier Integration, Trade Compliance, Data Interoperability, Market Accessibility, and Operational Efficiency. Case comparisons include Shiprocket, Flexport, Maersk Integrators, DHL Global Forwarding, Alibaba’s Cainiao, and Amazon Global Logistics.
